Made up of swords from all over the Philippines. From Kris Swords to Bolos and from Barongs to Kampilan. Each sword has it's own origin and style. The bolo being the most basic & widely used sword, the Pinuti is a popular sword of the Visayan warriors, as is the kampilan to the Moros of Sulu and Mindanao, and finally the barong being indispensable to the Moro's attire. |

Made up of both Krisses and a Korambit, the kris or keris is a distinctive, asymmetrical dagger the southern Philippines (amongst other countries). Both a weapon, and spiritual object, krisses are often considered to have an essence or presence, with some blades possessing good luck and others possessing bad [all of ours have good!]. The korambit (also karambit or kerambit) is a knife found among the cultures of the Philippines (amongst others). In all cultures it may have been used as an agricultural tool as well as a weapon. It is said that the shape of the korambit is related to animist beliefs about the power of tigers, and thus the korambit is in the shape of a tiger claw. |
